With over twenty-five years experience in the field, Ricardo Barros is a versatile and accomplished photographer. His photographs are included in the permanent collections of The Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Fogg Art Museum, the Museum of Art of São Paulo, the Museum of Image and Sound (also in São Paulo, Brazil,) The DeCordova Museum, Grounds For Sculpture Museum, The New Jersey State Museum, The Ellarslie Museum, the Johnson & Johnson Corporate Art Collection, En Foco Inc., the Free Library of Philadelphia, and the Newark Public Library. He has twice had one-man shows reviewed in The New York Times, he's been an ADDY award winner in the New York region, he's won three Gold ASTRA awards for his photography from the New Jersey Communications and Marketing Association, and he won a "Best of 2004" gold bar for his book "Facing Sculpture" in the Philly Gold design competition. Barros is also founder of Image Spring Press, which produced this award-winning book. His photographs regularly appear in Sculpture Magazine, and he has produced exhibition monographs for sculptors Magdalena Abakanowicz, Marisol, and Red Grooms. Barros has been the principal photographer at the internationally recognized park, Grounds For Sculpture, in New Jersey , since its inception in 1992.
